RUSTON – Louisiana Tech plays its final midweek contest of the season on Tuesday night when they play host to UL-Lafayette at the Love Shack. The game will cap off a string of five consecutive home games for the Bulldogs.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (24-25)
LA Tech is coming off a home series win over UAB, taking two of three from the Blazers. The Bulldogs have won four of their last five league series as they currently sit in fourth place in the C-USA standings with two series remaining against Florida Atlantic and UTSA.

The Bulldogs banged out 16 extra-base hits versus the Blazers with 10 of those coming in the opening game on Friday. LA Tech registered five home runs, four doubles, and one triple to take the first game, 16-3.
Adarius Myers had the most total bases over the weekend with nine. Most of that came on Friday when he went 4-for-5 (his first career 4-hit game) with a double and a homer.  Â

Jonathan Fincher notched his eight win of the season, the most of any pitcher in C-USA and the 12st most in the country. He is now 27-12 in his Bulldog career with his 27 victories tied for the fourth most in program history. The left-hander has now won eight games on the mound in each of the last three seasons.

The Bulldog offense has exploded in their last two Friday night outs. In game one versus Middle Tennessee and UAB, they have combined for 34 runs on 42 hits (21 in each contest) including 19 extra-base hits. LA Tech has hit a single-game high five homers in each of those games. They have now 69 home runs on the season, third most in C-USA and 56th most in the nation.

ABOUT UL-LAFAYETTE (32-17)
ULL is coming off a weekend sweep at ULM, outscoring the Warhawks 30-8 in the three games. The Ragin' Cajuns had lost five of their previous six Sun Belt Conference games before going 3-0 against their in-state rivals. ULL is 9-3 in midweek games.

Offensively, the Ragin' Cajuns are batting .292 as a team with five everyday players hitting at least .300. Both Heath Hood and Kyle DeBarge at batting .359, having combined for 117 hits. Julian Brock is right behind them at .342 with a team-leading 10 home runs.

ULL ranks third in the country in stolen bases with 144 and 21st in the country in triples with 21.

THE SERIES
LA Tech and UL-Lafayette will close out their home-and-home midweek slate on Tuesday. The Ragin' Cajuns took the win in the first game in Lafayette back on April 11 by a score of 10-5. With the score knotted up at 3-3, ULL broke the game open in the fifth with a four-spot. The Bulldogs have won four of the six last meetings against the Cajuns in Ruston.
