Quebedeaux Earns Fall Spirit of Service Award

RUSTON – Louisiana Tech's Rebecca Quebedeaux was one of eight student-athletes to earn the Conference USA Fall Spirit of Service award, as announced by the league office on Friday.
The award honors student-athletes with significant community service endeavors, good academic standing, and participation in their respective sport.
Quebedeaux, a marketing major, was very active in the Ruston community in the fall of 2023. Quebedeaux participated in numerous community events including Dog Haul, Gameday Booth, 4PAWS, Rock Your School, Dogs with a Cause and Christmas Shoebox.
The junior is a five-time member of the President's List, two-time Dean's List Scholar, and six-time AD's Honor Roll member with a 3.938 cumulative GPA in Marketing. During the fall 2023 term, she finished with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
On the course, Quebedeaux led the Bulldogs in four of the five races this season, including a season-best sixth-place finish at the Mook 4 Invitational, where she set a personal best of 19:24.2 to earn CUSA Athlete of the Week.
The Spirit of Service award is presented three times throughout the year, with Friday's honor representing the fall sports (soccer, men's and women's cross country, and volleyball).
