Ruston – Louisiana Tech's cross-country team will travel to Clinton, Mississippi, for the Watson Collegiate Classic on Friday, October 19. The men's 8k starts at 8 a.m., and the women's 6k will follow up at 8:45 a.m.

LOCATION: Clinton, Miss. (Choctaw Trails) 

The Bulldogs had an outstanding performance in their last event here in Ruston at the Mook 4 Invitational. Both the men and women finished in third place. 

Louisiana Tech's leaders, Rebecca Quebedeaux and William Byrd, finished with the times of 19:47.3 and 27:55.9, respectively. 

Along with Quebedeaux and Byrd, Tech will be bolstered by the freshmen Delany Lopez and Dillon Sanchez. This will be Lopez's first 6k race in college, but Sanchez's second 8k. His previous 8k was at the Mook 4 Invitational, where he finished with a 29:50.93.
