RUSTON – The Bulldog cross country teams concluded the Watson Collegiate Classic with the women, led by Rebecca Quebedeaux, finishing in fourth and the men finishing in fourteenth at Choctaw Trails on Friday.
In the women's first 6k race of the year, senior Quebedeaux and freshman Delaney Lopez finished near the top of the standings. Quebedeaux crossed the finish line with a time of 23:25.55, giving her 12th place. Right behind her was Lopez, who had a time of 23:44:79, earning the 16th spot. Lexa Thompson (24:40.88) and Gracie Pepitone (24:40.97) finished not far behind.
Freshman Landon Byrd (26:07.40) led for the men's race. Jayce Wimbish (27:14.40), Dillon Moree (28:04.20), Arie Linton (28:20.00), Dillon Sanchez (28:30.40), Hayes Gill (28:41.70), and Nathan Theriot (28:43.60) all earned points for the Bulldogs.
