LAHAINA, Hawaii – Four Bulldogs shot at or under par as Louisiana Tech was five strokes better in round two, shooting 277 (-7) on Sunday in the Ka'anapali Classic on the island of Maui.
 
LA Tech got off to scorching start at the Royal Ka'anapali Golf Course, shooting six under through its first two holes.  The Bulldogs would end up shooting seven under the day, which tied for the ninth-best round of the day among the 21-team field, putting them in 14th on the team leaderboard after 36 holes. 
 
Jake Plumb was the top Bulldog in round two.  The sophomore got off to a strong start, making birdies on his first two holes (No. 11 and No. 12).  He would tack on four more birdies, ultimately shooting a season-low four under (67).
 
Morton Bailey was steady all day for LA Tech.  The only blemish on the freshman's scorecard was a bogey on No. 13.  Outside of that, it was 14 pars and three birdies to shoot 69 (-2), putting him in a tie for 44th on the player leaderboard.
 
Tied with Bailey after 36 holes is Oskari Schuvalow who opened with eagle-birdie on his first two holes, No. 9 and No. 10.  The sophomore would end up shooting 71 (E) to stay at two under for the tournament.
 
Niilo Maki-Petaja is the top Bulldog after two rounds, tied for 38th after shooting 70 (-1).  The sophomore shot one over on the back before draining an eagle on the par 5 No. 1.  He would close the day out with a birdie on the par five No. 9 to get to three under for the event.
 
No. 2-ranked Oklahoma continues to lead the field as the Sooners head into the final round with a five-stroke lead over Indiana and Kansas.

LA Tech will close out the Ka'anapali Classic on Monday with another shotgun start.  Tee time is set for 12:30 p.m. CT.
