JONESBORO, Ark. – Louisiana Tech's bowling team finished the Mid-Winer Invitational with a 10th-place finish on Sunday at the Hijinx Family Entertainment Center.
The Bulldogs struggled to find their mark for majority of the day, dropping all three best-of-seven Baker matches.
Tech fell to No. 11 Sam Houston 4-2 in the day's first match. The Bulldogs fell in games one (205-159), three (214-181), four (202-193), and six (234-168) but would pick up wins in games two (195-193) and five (238-183).
The second set was much closer, but three opens cost them in the first two games, falling 208-200 and 215-208. No. 23 McKendree won games three and five, with LA Tech taking game four.
The Bulldogs would only take one game from No. 16 Newman in the nine-10 matchup.
UP NEXT
Louisiana Tech will have a two-week break before heading to the USBC ISC/ITC Sectionals. The Bulldogs will find out on Wednesday which of the four sectionals they will travel to. The four host cities are Fort Worth, Texas; Smyrna, Tenn.; Allen Park, Mich.; and Addison, Ill.
