Louisiana Tech Takes on Kent. State
RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech baseball looks to continue its four-game win streak against Kent. State. Tech's series against Kent State will be a three-game home series, with the first pitch at 6 p.m. on Friday at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (4-0)
Tech allowed only ten runs against Northern Colorado, the first time since 2020 that Tech allowed less than ten runs in an opening series. The Bulldog's bullpen went for 41 strikeouts in its four-game sweep at home last weekend. Louisiana Tech is currently batting .241 but has 32 hits and 17 RBI to start the year.
Ethan Bates currently has a 27-game on-base reach streak dating back to 2023. Also, senior Dalton Davis has a 14-game hitting and on-base reach streak dating to 2023. Sam Brodersen and Turner Swistak combined for 14 strikeouts in their official Divison-1 starts. Caden Copeland, first official start, fanned four batters and gave up two hits. The Nebraska native, Grant Hubka, in his first start for Tech, had six strikeouts.

Kent. State is coming into Ruston after a 1-2 start against UNC Wilmington last weekend. The Golden Flashes went 42-16 in 2023 and 24-3 at home. The Golden Flashes have a batting average of .212, with 21 hits and 16 walks after opening weekend. On the mound, Kent. State has a team ERA of 6.12, while they struck out 29 batters while allowing 23 hits.
THE SERIES
The Bulldogs and the Golden Flashes have never competed against each other before. It will also be the first time these two teams will have a three-game series against one another.
