RUSTON – One of the most decorated bowlers in Louisiana Tech history picked up another award to add to her collection. Graduate Student Allie Leiendecker was named to the Conference USA All-Academic team, announced by the league on Friday.
The four-time All-American has led the Bulldogs to new heights since arriving in Ruston for the 2019-20 season. LA Tech has reached the NCAA Tournament in three consecutive seasons and just made its fourth straight trip to the USBC ITC Nationals.
The Wooster, Ohio native graduated on March 2 with a 3.628 in Human Development and Family Science.
Leiendecker has bowled in all nine tournaments this season and ranks third in the country with a 208.06 average for 50 games. She ranks in the top 15 in average per frame (20.736) and strike percentage (54.2).
She has collected two all-tournament honors this season, giving her 21 for her career. She finished fifth at the Colonial Lanes Classic with a 1,097 (219.4 avg.) and was named Tournament MVP at SWIBC II with a 1,518 (216.86 avg.).
