FORT WORTH, Texas – Freshman Kylee Trexler blew past the field to claim the top spot at the USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championships Sectional Friday at Cityview Lanes.

Trexler opened the day in second after shooting a 276 out of the gate. She would move into the top spot after rolling 229 in the second game and maintain that spot the rest of the way. The Indiana native closed out the first three games with a 233, giving her a 738. She would follow up with 193, 216, and 224 for 1,371, 32 pins better than second. Her total would place her fourth out of 687 bowlers in all four sectionals.

Danielle Jedlicki finished 11th, and Abbie Leiendecker finished 12th with 1,285 and 1,278, respectively. Jedlicki rolled games of 257, 198, 205, 196, and 212, while Abbie Leiendecker shot 190, 210, 234, 220, 218, and 202.

Patricia Rosales, Allie Leiendecker, and Jenna Stretch all finished in the top 50. Rosales had 1,211 to finish 32nd, Allie Leiendecker was 34th with 1,205, and Stretch closed the singles portion in 46th at 1,182.

Louisiana Tech will participate in the USBC ITC Sectional tomorrow morning. The Bulldogs will bowl eight four-game Baker matches starting at 8 a.m. CT.
