RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech reliever
Ethan Bates earned a First-Team All-American honor from the College Baseball Foundation, making it his sixth All-American honor this postseason. College Baseball Foundation named Bates as a First-Team relief pitcher.
Bates, who has already earned honors from Baseball America, D1 Baseball, NCBWA, ABCA, and Perfect Game, has earned seven All-American honors in his Tech career.Â
Bates had 44.2 innings (36 appearances) of relief with a 2-1 record and led the nation in saves with 17, Â a new Louisiana Tech Single Season saves record. The senior reliever had an ERA of 3.43 on the bump, with 52 punchouts and 20 walks in relief this season.
