No. 9 Bowling set for Final Fall Event

LA Tech heads to Colonial Lane Classic in search of fourth top-five finish

RUSTON – After a week off, the No. 9 Louisiana Tech bowling team returns to the lanes this weekend for their final event of the fall as it travels to Harahan, La. to compete in the Colonial Lanes Classic this Friday – Sunday.

Format: Friday: Five 5 game baker
                Saturday: Five traditional game
                Sunday: Three best 4-of-7 baker matches

Sixteen teams will compete in the event, including 11 ranked programs. LA Tech will face seven ranked opponents across its five Baker and five team games.
 
In Friday's Baker rounds, Tech will roll against No. 4 Youngstown State, No. 6 Arkansas State, No. 2 Nebraska, Southern and No. 12 Duquesne.
 
On Saturday, the Bulldogs will play Prairie View A&M, Jackson State, No. 8 Sam Houston, No. 5 Wichita State and No. 18 UAB in traditional match play.
 
Sunday will include three best-of-seven Baker matches against opponents to be determined.
 
Tech enters the weekend after a fifth-place finish at the Bulldog Classic two weeks ago. The Bulldogs went 11-2 at the event, earning eight wins over ranked opponents, including wins over No. 1 Jacksonville State, No. 2 Nebraska (twice) and No. 3 Vanderbilt.
 
The Bulldogs are 29-10 this season with 16 ranked wins and three top-five finishes.
