The last time the Bulldogs visited Eck Stadium they were swept in a three-game series by the Shockers in the shortened 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tech battled throughout the weekend with their worst loss coming on the Friday game of the series, 6-2 and losing by a combined three runs the next two games.

Garrison Berkley is the team leader in batting average and is the only Bulldog currently hitting above the .300 line. He also leads the team with 22 hits, 18 runs, six hit-by-pitches, an on-base percentage of .481 and six stolen bases on eight attempts.

Grant Hubka and Luke Cooley look to continue being head coach Lane Burroughs' one-two punch on the mound for his weekend starters. Hubka holds a 2-2 record and a team-best 2.79 ERA through 19 1/3 innings on the mound along with 17 strikeouts on the year. Cooley leads the team with 24 strikeouts and a 3-1 record through 18 2/3 innings of work. His strikeout total also ties for the eight-most in Conference USA this season.

Previewing the Shockers
Wichita State enters the weekend with a 6-11 record under head coach Brian Green, who is in his second season at the helm of the Shockers' baseball program. He led Wichita State to a 32-29 overall record and a 15-12 mark in conference play, ending the regular season going 7-2 in their final three regular season series and an American Athletic Conference Championship berth for the first time in program history.

Green is in his 11th total season as a head coach after a five-year stint at New Mexico State and four years at Washington State before being handed the reigns for Wichita State baseball. He has amassed a career record of 287-241-1 and is 38-40 since his arrival to Wichita.

Camden Johnson and Josh Livingston lead the Shockers in terms of batting average and are the only two players batting above .300. Johnson also leads the team with 24 hits, 12 runs, 15 RBI, 33 total bases and is one of two players with multiple stolen bases this year.

Livingston holds team highs with a .989 OPS, .508 slugging percentage and a .481 on-base percentage. He sits right behind Johnson with 19 hits, 11 runs and 33 total bases. Livingston, along with Kam Durnin, are tied for the most doubles on the team with six apiece. Lane Haworth has made just nine starts in 16 appearances but is the only Shocker with multiple home runs in 2025.

Grant Adler and Brady Hamilton are the projected Wichita State starters for the weekend, with Sunday's pitcher to be announced. Adler and Hamilton are the only two players with at least 20 strikeouts for the Shockers; Adler leads the team with 25 and Hamilton has 21.

Adler holds a 1-0 record through four starts this year, carrying a 3.13 ERA through 23 innings and holding his opponents to a combined .212 batting average. Hamilton is 1-1 in four starts and holds a 5.79 ERA through 18 2/3 innings of work. He has allowed 12 earned runs on 22 hits with his opponents batting a combined .301 against him.
