LA Tech made a last-minute schedule change for Sunday's match after their originally scheduled match with Mississippi Valley State was cancelled.
 
The 'Dogs opened up the season falling to Alabama, 6-2. Freshman Reagan Roberts netted her first career goal and first goal of the season for Tech. Junior captain Madison Pensom also scored the first goal of her career on a corner served by Maeva Costenaro for her first career assist.
 
Roberts was the first freshman to score the first goal of the season since Lauren Egbuloniu scored in The Mack's debut against East Texas Baptist on August 20, 2021. The Prosper, Texas native was also the first player to score in her collegiate debut since Avery Kyle did so in the same match against the Tigers.
 
Previewing the Cowgirls
 
McNeese comes into Ruston led by first-year interim head coach Juan ??. The Cowgirls opened up the season dropping a home match to North Dakota, 6-0. 
 
The Bulldogs are 6-5 all-time against McNeese including taking three of the previous four matchups. Tech earned the clean sheet in the previous clash, blanking the Cowgirls, 1-0, at The Mack in 2023.
