FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Louisiana Tech men's and women's track and field teams are set to begin their 2026 campaign at the Arkansas Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. on Friday, January 16. The season-opening meet is the first of four the Bulldogs will compete in before the Conference USA Indoor Championships and one of three hosted by the Razorbacks.

Chevoney Reid is explosive, and will be a force to deal with in the 200-meter.

Lukundo Kapambalala will also light it up in the 60 and 200.
Jaitlyn Ware, a transfer from Mississippi State, is an absolute star in the 200.

Prentice Sanders II will also be dominant in the 400 this year."
LA Tech returns six medalists from the 2025 indoor season, four of which were named CUSA champion of their respective event.
Sabastian Bradley-Reed shattered the men's indoor program record in the 400-meter with a time of 46.74 for his first career gold medal.
Bradley-Reed was also one of the legs on the record-breaking 4x400-meter relay team that secured their third-straight Indoor CUSA gold medal in the event with a time of 3:11.03, the second-fastest time in indoor program history.
Osaretin Joy Usenbor was the women's 400-meter champion with a time of 53.49, te fourth-best time recorded in LA Tech indoor women's history, as well as the champion of the 4x400-meter relay alongside teammate
Jamara Patterson, who was the runner-up behind Usenbor in the 400.
Cobe Johnson is arguably the top jumper on the men's side returning for the Bulldogs. He finished as the bronze medalist in the triple jump at the CUSA Indoor Championships in 2024 before following up with a silver medal in the long jump at the 2025 CUSA Indoor Championships.
Tia Reder returns for her senior season after concluding last year's indoor season with personal bests in the triple jump and long jump, along with securing a bronze medal in the triple jump with a length of 12.37 meters.
