Softball Fan Fest Scheduled for January 24

RUSTON – Louisiana Tech softball announced its annual Fan Fest will be held Saturday, Jan. 24, from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Dr. Billy Bundrick Field and the Origin Bank Softball Complex. Admission is free.

During the first hour from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., fans can participate in interactive stations that will include games geared towards youth led by LA Tech players and coaches. Activities include running the bases on the infield, pitching practice in the bullpen and cornhole in the concourse. Additional opportunities include tee stations and front toss in the indoor facility, a photo station in the lobby, and tours of the team room, locker room and team lounge, highlighting how the spaces are used by Bulldog players.

Beginning at 12:30 p.m., fans will have the opportunity to meet the 2026 Bulldogs and receive autographs on the field. Season schedule posters and other LA Tech items will also be available for fans to take and have signed.

Fans may also enter a prize raffle for various team giveaways. The LA Tech Barnes and Nobles Bookstore will be on site with Bulldog gear and accessories available for purchase, along with concessions being opened. Tech XXII and Champ are scheduled to make a brief appearance during the event.

Fans are encouraged to stick around for an intrasquad scrimmage scheduled to begin about 45 minutes after the conclusion of Fan Fest. The men's basketball team will also be in action that afternoon, hosting Kennesaw State at 2 p.m. at the Thomas Assembly Center.

Fifth-year head coach Josh Taylor will look to guide the Bulldogs to a fifth consecutive 30+ win season after finishing 32-25 in 2025. Tech returns 13 players from last year's team including four All-CUSA selections in Allie Floyd, Reagan Marchant, Elena Heng and Allie Furr. The Bulldogs have added 10 new faces to this year's team, made up of seven freshman and three transfers.

The Bulldogs will open the season on the road before returning to Dr. Billy Bundrick Field for their home opener Feb. 17 against Northwestern State, then host ULM on Feb. 19 and welcome Southern Miss for a three-game series Feb. 20-22.

Softball season tickets will go on sale Monday morning and will also be available for purchase at Fan Fest. Fans can purchase season tickets by calling (318) 257-3631 or by visiting LATechSports.com/tickets.
