FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Friday's events for the Louisiana Tech men's and women's track and field teams were highlighted by
Sabastian Bradley-Reed and
Jamara Patterson each setting new indoor program records in the men's and women's 400-meter dash.
Bradley-Reed broke his own record that was set at last year's CUSA Indoor Championships with a time of 46.60, and Patterson ran 53.11 to break a record that held since the 2007 indoor season.
Patterson finished in the top 20 among a field of 57 in her event, while Bradley-Reed finished top 15 in a field of 63 runners.
Cobe Johnson saw the highest finish of the day for the Bulldogs, coming in seventh in the long jump with a season-best 7.44 meters.
Day 2 of the Tyson Invitational begins at 10:30 a.m. CT with field events followed by running events beginning at 11 a.m. CT. The SEC Network+ broadcast is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. CT.
