ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. – Louisiana Tech's return to action met unusually cold conditions in the sunshine state as the Bulldogs shot five over (289) on Monday in round one of the Sea Best Invitational.
 
Originally slated to play 36 holes at the Atlantic Beach Country Club, a freeze warning pushed the first round back four hours which allowed just one round to be played.
 
LA Tech, which climbed to as high as second on the team leaderboard midway through its round, ended the day tied for seventh along with conference foe Liberty.
 
The top Bulldog on the day was Seth Campbell who had a team-best four birdies to shoot one under (70), putting the graduate student in a tie for ninth on the player leaderboard. 
 
Right behind him was Morton Bailey who had two birdies on Par 3s and a 4-foot birdie on the Par 5 No. 10 to help shoot Even par (71), which has the sophomore tied for 18th.
 
The last two scorecards used for LA Tech were that of Riley Hnatyshyn shot two over (73) and Oskari Schuvalow who carded a 75 (+4). 
 
UNC Wilmington leads the event at four under, followed by No. 5-ranked Florida who is at one under.
