RUSTON – Louisiana Tech bowler Jenna Stretch was named a Conference USA Performer of the Month, the league office announced Wednesday.
 
Stretch was one of six bowlers recognized by the conference for January.
 
The third-year Bulldog helped lead Tech to a fifth-place finish at the Northeast Classic and a sixth-place showing at the Columbia 300 Saints Invite this past weekend. Stretch earned all-tournament second-team honors at the Northeast Classic after placing sixth individually out of 229 competitors, rolling a 1,113 across five traditional games.
 
The Ohio native added another sixth-place individual finish this past weekend at the Columbia 300 Saints Invite, posting a 1,138 series (280, 195, 234, 235, 194).
 
"I am really proud of Jenna over these last few events," stated head coach Matt Nantais. "She has put together several strong performances and has been a huge help to the team during that stretch. Being named Performer of the Month in CUSA, especially with the amount of talent in our conference, is a significant accomplishment and well deserved."
 
Stretch and the fifth ranked Bulldogs return to action Feb. 20–22 at the Big Red Invite in Lincoln, Neb.
