ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The fifth-ranked Louisiana Tech bowling team recorded a 3-2 record on day one of the Columbia 300 Saints Invite, including a ranked win over host No. 10 Maryville.
The Bulldogs totaled a 5,057 total pinfall across five baker games. Tech defeated Oklahoma Christian (1,098-1,016), No. 10 Maryville (1,074-993) and Western Illinois (996-842). LA Tech fell to No. 6 Wichita State (914-1,001) and Wisconsin-Whitewater (975-1,014).
McKendree leads the field with a 5,333, followed by Sacred Heart (5,217), Wichita (5,177) and UAB (5,115).
Tech will return to the lanes tomorrow with five traditional matches. The Bulldogs are scheduled to face Lewis, No. 16 Newman, No. 11 Sacred Heart, UAB and No. 4 Nebraska.
