Head Coach
Matt Nantais
"This weekend definitely could have been better. From an average standpoint, we did not bowl poorly, but the scoring pace is where we fell short. Missing spares—especially single-pin spares—was our downfall this weekend."
"Throughout the year, we have done a great job of filling frames and stepping up in big moments to win close matches, and we simply did not do that this time. This is the first losing weekend we have had in quite a few years, and the tough part is knowing it could have been turned around with just one spare in any of the matches we lost."
"We will regroup before heading to Nebraska and put a strong emphasis on cleaning up our single-pin spares."
"One positive from the weekend was the opportunity to put different people in at different times, and everyone contributed. The chemistry was great, and it was good to see the team support each other throughout the weekend."
NEXT UP
The Bulldogs will have the next two weekends off before returning to the lanes Feb. 20-22 as they travel to Lincoln, Neb., to compete in the Big Red Invite.
