ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (9-2, 2-0 CUSA)
Louisiana Tech completed a road sweep most recently, winning three matches in five days all by a final score of 4-1 over UAB, Jacksonville State, and Middle Tennessee. As a result, the Bulldogs extended their winning streak to six, going into their pair of home doubleheaders this weekend.
Â
LA Tech has been spent much of its spring season on the road, having played all but one away from Ruston. The lone home match for the Bulldogs has been a 6-1 win over Stephen F. Austin back on Feb. 21.
Â
The 'Dogs have been highly successful in singles, owning a 39-18 record in duals. Junior
Zoie Epps still leads the charge with a 9-1 record, having won six straight at the top spot. Freshman
Isabella Walker is right behind her with an 8-1 mark, having won five in a row including the clinching point in their recent victory at MTSU. Other key Bulldogs in singles have been
Maria Tsironi and
June Vigneron who each own six wins.
Â
In dual doubles, LA Tech is a combined 17-10, having won seven doubles points including three of the last four. Tsironi and
Alice Brook have teamed up to produce a 7-4 record, playing at the No. 2 position. Meanwhile, the duo of Epps and Walker continue to be nationally ranked at No. 70.
Â
ABOUT MISSOURI STATE (3-9, 0-0 CUSA)
Missouri State enters the weekend looking to snap a five-match losing streak. Included in that losing skid has been a pair of heartbreaking 4-3 losses to Kansas City and Lindenwood. The Bears will be playing the first of four Conference USA matches as MSU competes in CUSA for the first time.
Â
The Bears are 21-37 overall in dual singles, anchored by Matilde Ercoli who owns a 7-3 record while playing primarily at the No. 4 position. The top MSU player is Lucy Latham who is 4-2 at the No. 1 spot.
Â
In dual doubles, MSU is a combined 14-18 having played 10 different lineups. The most consistent duo has been Latham and Ercoli who have teamed up to go 5-2 on court one.
Â
LA Tech trails in the all-time series against Missouri State, having lost all three meetings. The most recent matchup came in a neutral site match in Jonesboro, Arkansas in 2021 when the Bears prevailed, 4-3.

Â
In dual doubles, the Wildcats are a combined 11-21, having won the doubles point just four times in their 14 matches. ACU has used 10 different doubles lineup with the most successful one being the duo of Masha Vrsalovic and Maria Cascos who are 4-1 on court one.
