RUSTON – After helping Louisiana Tech record a pair of home victories this past weekend, Zoie Epps and Isabella Walker were named as the Conference USA Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week, as announced by the league office Wednesday.
 
The 59th-ranked doubles duo led the Bulldogs to a 4-0 shutout win over CUSA opponent Missouri State followed by a 4-2 win against Abilene Christian to extend the team's winning streak to eight matches.
 
The tandem went 2-0 from the top spot, helping LA Tech secure the doubles point in both matches.  They did not surrender a single game to MSU, winning 6-0.  That was followed by a decisive 6-2 victory against ACU. The duo improved to 7-3 this spring, having won three straight.
 
This marks the third CUSA Doubles Team of the Week honor for Epps and Walker.
 
LA Tech returns to action on Saturday, March 21 when they travel to Huntsville, Texas to battle CUSA foe Sam Houston.
