Series History: Dallas Baptist leads 19-18

Tech is coming off a massive home sweep over Missouri State before falling to ULM in a run-rule contest Tuesday night in Monroe. The 16 Warhawk runs allowed were the most the 'Dogs have given up to ULM since 1999, when they dropped a home contest, 18-8.

Trey Hawsey went on a tear in the month of April, batting .415 with four doubles, three homers, posting a 1.128 OPS and 11 runs scored. The sophomore first baseman also extended his hitting streak to 15 games Tuesday night, becoming the first 'Dog since Colton Coates in 2025 to post 15-straight games with a hit.

Eli Berch holds the longest reached base streak with 19 games, one shy of being the first Bulldog since Ethan Bates to reach safely in 20 consecutive games. Bates reached in 27-straight starting at the end of the 2023 season and ending at the start of the 2024 season.

Declan Dahl tied for the most April wins by a Bulldog with Riley Fisher, both recording three wins in the past month. Dahl posted a 1.78 ERA in four starts, striking out 36 and walking four across just 25.1 innings of work.

The junior from Azle, Texas received his second recognition as CUSA Pitcher of the Week on April 13 for his outstanding start at home against Middle Tennessee.

The Bulldogs took the weekend series from DBU the last time Tech played them in Dallas before falling to the Patriots in the 2024 CUSA Championship Game in Ruston later that season.

The Patriots are winners in three of their last four games—clinching a weekend series win at FIU and taking a midweek win at home over Abilene Christian. Prior to their weekend in Miami, DBU had dropped a weekend series at Liberty before falling to TCU in Fort Worth on April 21.

The Patriots are 5-4 at home in CUSA play with two losses to Liberty and lone weekend losses to Missouri State and New Mexico State.

Jake Bennett leads DBU and CUSA with 15 homers yet has played in just 31 of the Patriots' 45 games entering the weekend, starting in 30 of them. His 41 RBI are tied for the second-most on the team with Ryan Martin.

Chayton Krauss has been the top run producer for the Patriots, leading the team with 50 RBI which is also the second-most in the league. Cooper Neville is batting .353 in all 45 games thus far, sitting alongside Krauss and Bennett as the only three DBU hitters with double-digit doubles and 40+ runs scored.
