April 14, 2015 RUSTON - Louisiana Tech and Northwestern State meet Wednesday night at 6 p.m. in a midweek non-conference game at the Lady Techster Softball Complex.
Tech (26-12, 9-6 C-USA) and Northwestern State (24-14, 14-2 Southland) meet for the second time this season as the Demons defeated the Lady Techsters 10-5 on March 18 in Natchitoches.
The Lady Techsters are coming off a weekend series that saw them win one of three games at UAB, dropping a pair of close contests by the scores of 8-6 and 8-7. Tech is currently sitting in third place in the Conference USA West Division standings, a half-game behind UTSA and a game and a half behind UAB.
Offensively, Tech is led by Bianca Duran (.372, 10 doubles, 7 HR, 34 RBI), Tori Charters (.365, 23 runs), Karlee Jensen (.358, 20 RBI), Anna Cross (.310, 5 HR, 21 RBI), Kristen Miles (.281, 22 runs), Pauline Tufi (.279, 9 HR, 33 RBI), and Janine Godwin (.275, 4 HR, 16 RBI).
In the circle, Duran (13-9, 2.63 ERA), Bailey Allen (6-1, 2.21 ERA) and Tufi (5-1, 2.86 ERA) could all see time against the Demons.
NSU is led offensively by Brittney Jones (.400, 9 HR, 34 RBI), Kellye Kincannon (.393, 11 HR, 46 RBI), Cassandra Barefield (.355, 12 HR, 37 RBI) and Brittany Virgoe (.336, 11 doubles, 23 RBI).
Mikayla Brown (6-2, 1.68 ERA) and Micaela Bouvier (11-4, 2.86 ERA) are the top two arms for the Demons.
