May 14, 2015 RUSTON - Louisiana Tech senior Bianca Duran was voted to the Mideast National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region first team released by the organization on Thursday.
Duran, who earned her spot at the Utility/Pitcher spot, is one of six Conference USA players to earn a spot on the Mideast Region first team while a total of 10 made either the first, second or third teams.
The Westminster, Colorado native batted .359 on the year with a team-high 56 hits, including 11 doubles and nine home runs. Duran scored 22 runs and registered a career-high 38 RBI while boasting a .615 slugging percentage.
In the circle, she recorded a 14-13 mark with a 2.78 earned run average. She logged 163.2 innings while making 26 starts and recording seven complete game performances. Duran threw five complete-game shutouts and was a part of four more combined shutouts.
Duran joined WKU's Miranda Kramer, UAB's Sara Beth Williamson, UAB's Caitlin Attfield, Marshall's Morgan Zerkle and WKU's Larissa Franklin on the Mideast Region first team.
