RUSTON ââ'¬" After scoring two goals to help Louisiana Tech defeat Southern Miss on Senior Night, senior Kailee Hervey was selected as the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week in an announcement made by the league office on Monday.

Hervey had a memorable last game at the Lady Techster Soccer Complex, registering her second career multi-goal game by netting two header goals in the first eight minutes of a 3-1 victory over the Golden Eagles.

They were almost identical goals with crosses from the right wing going into the box where she headed the ball inside the far post both times.

The senior helped LA Tech set multiple school records ââ'¬" only two losses in the regular season and only one loss in league play. The Lady Techsters also extended their unbeaten streak to eight.

This is Hervey's first C-USA Player of the Week honor of her career.

LA Tech earned the No. 4 seed in the C-USA Tournament and will face off against No. 5 Old Dominion on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 12:30 p.m. CT in Boca Raton, Florida at FAU Soccer Stadium.
