Feb. 24, 2017 RUSTON ââ'¬" The Louisiana Tech women's tennis team continues its six-game road swing on Saturday when they go up against 31st-ranked Missouri at noon at the Mizzou Tennis Complex.
LA Tech (6-4) is coming off a road weekend sweep over Incarnate Word and Texas State where the Lady Techsters only surrendered one point in the two matches combined.
Junior Alba Escalona Perny has the longest streak on the team currently with four straight singles victories from the No. 5 spot. She has also recently teamed up with senior Jazmin Britos at the No. 1 position in doubles.
Freshman Nadja Manjon continues to the lead the team in singles wins with a 7-3 mark. The Spanish native started out the season playing at No. 4 but has recently moved all the way up to the No. 2 spot in singles.
Missouri (8-2) will be the third nationally-ranked team LA Tech will take on this spring season, having already faced Oklahoma State and Texas A&M. The Tigers will be playing in their home opener since they spent the first 10 dual matches on the road.
