Kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m.
RUSTON – In the first matchup of the Conference USA Tournament quarterfinals on Wednesday, No. 8 seed Louisiana Tech will battle No. 1 seed Florida Atlantic with kickoff set for 11:30 a.m. at the North Texas Soccer Stadium in Denton, Texas.

LA Tech (13-4-2) closed out the regular season with two much-needed victories, including a 2-1 overtime win this past Friday at Southern Miss. With the two wins, the Lady Techsters increased their point total to 16 which was enough to qualify for the league tourney for the sixth straight season.
The two goals scored against the Golden Eagles came off the foot of Autumn Woodard. The sophomore forward struck got a goal late in the second period and found the back of the net in the first OT period for her seventh game-winning goal of the season.
The transfer increased her goal total to 17 and her point total to 39, both single-season program records. Both marks currently rank as the second most in C-USA history.
Senior Jaelyn Peeples assisted on the golden goal which was assist No. 9 of the season and No. 22 of her career, both setting new program records.
LA Tech is 2-4-2 all-time in the C-USA Tournament, having advanced as far as the semifinals three times including the last two seasons. The Lady Techsters were moments away from reaching their first ever championship game, but fell in a shoot to eventual champion North Texas last year.
Florida Atlantic (13-4-1) enters the tourney as the top seed after claiming a second-straight regular season title. The Owls posted an 8-1-1 mark in conference play to earn 25 points.
Since dropping their lone league match to LA Tech on Oct. 4, FAU has gone unbeaten in its last seven matches with six of those being wins. The Lady Techsters defeated the Owls, 1-0, in Rustin in overtime thanks to a golden goal by Woodard and shutting out the visitors (only the second shutout for FAU all season).
Wednesday will be the sixth meeting on the pitch between the two programs with the Owls leading, 3-2-0. This will be the second time these teams match up in the C-USA Tournament (2016).
