Box Score MONROE, La. – Kelly Maxwell pitched a complete-game shutout to lead the 10^th ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys to a 8-0 win over Louisiana Tech Friday afternoon at the Ouachita Sportsplex.

Kara Goff recorded a first inning single for Tech (1-1), but that was the only offense the Lady Techsters could muster against Maxwell – who struck out 10 in the five-inning complete-game victory.

Bre Hernandez (0-1) got the start in the circle for Tech and took the loss, allowing six runs on six hits and two walks while striking out one in 2.1 innings of action. Goff came on in relief and worked the final 2.2 innings against OSU, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out two.

Oklahoma State scored one in the first, three in the second, two in the third and two in the fourth in picking up its second win of the weekend.

The Lady Techsters are scheduled to face Lipscomb at 1:15 p.m. and Oklahoma State at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday in the final day of the Best of the Bayou Classic.

Tech opened the season Thursday night with a 3-2 win over ULM.
