HARAHAN, La.- No. 8 Louisiana Tech women's bowling finished 2nd this weekend at the Colonial Lanes Classic.

DAY 1
On Friday, LA Tech finished 3rd after winning two of their four Baker games. The Lady Techsters fell in the first game to No. 19 Tulane, 995-941. Tech came back and defeated Prairie View A&M, 897-834, then fell to SFA, 1,067-1,049. LA Tech defeated Sam Houston 1.112-1,095 in the fourth game. Tech then bowled a 1,077 in a BYE game to finish the day with 5,076 total pins.Â

DAY 2
The Lady Techsters started traditional bowling on Saturday by winning four straight games. Tech defeated Alabama State 1,045-934, Texas Southern 990-888, Lincoln Memorial 914-886, and UAB 1,041-930. They fell in their final game of the day to Maryland Eastern Shore 1,042-951.

DAY 3
The Lady Techsters entered Sunday's championship bracket as the No.3 seed to take on fourth-seeded SFA. Down 3-1, LA Tech was able put themselves back in the game by winning the fifth and sixth sets to force a seventh. They took down SFA (192-237, 178-214, 236-142, 181-288, 195-165-223-170,197-168) in the final game to advance them in the tournament to face No. 6 North Carolina A&T.Â

LA Tech then went on to defeat the top-seeded North Carolina A&T (216-192, 222-189, 182-196, 172-168, 242-210) to bring them into the championship game against Maryland Eastern Shore but lost 4-1 (184-213, 293-222, 225-215, 196-213, 182-192).Â
