RUSTON- The Louisiana Tech Women's Bowling team finish 8
th in the Sam Houston hosted Track Kat Klash tournament.
DAY 1
LA Tech began the first day of the tournament with five Baker games. The Lady Techsters started with two back-to-back losses, the first against No. 1 McKendree 1.091-996 and then against UAB 969-862. They then back in the third game with a 1,048-814 win over Upper Iowa followed by two more losses to Maryland Eastern Shore 1,000-945 and Maryville 1,085-947.
Lindsay Manning led the Lady Techsters with a total of 930 pins.
DAY 2
In the first game of traditional play, the Lady Techsters defeated Monmouth 1,101-857 followed by a win over Central Missouri 985-869. In game three, LA Tech fell to Delaware State 1.052-886 and were then defeated by North Carolina A&T 967-955. The Lady Techsters finished the day with a 1,051-847 victory over Lewis.
DAY 3
As the No.8 seed, the Lady Techsters went up against the No. 2 Nebraska and fell 4-3 (209-156, 214-187, 202-247, 222-216, 219-255, 193-203, 194-181). LA Tech was then faced by Tulane where they defeated them 4-2 (200-194, 197-226, 234-194, 224-162, 202-212, 203-138). Louisiana Tech then went up against Nebraska again but fell 4-1 (212-201, 194-216, 204-181, 230-179, 22-162).
Lindsay Manning earned the tournament MVP with a total of 1,162 total pins and an average of 232.40.
Allie Leiendecker finished at No. 10 with 1,062 total pins and an average of 212.40.
