ARLINGTON- The Louisiana Tech women's bowling team fell in the semifinals of the NCAA Regionals on Saturday afternoon.
LA Tech finished their NCAA season falling to Sam Houston in the semifinals after falling to No.1 McKendree on Friday. The Lady Techsters began the regional facing Sam Houston Friday morning and defeating them 2-0 to advance in the winner's bracket.
In game two of the day, Tech was up against McKendree , but wasn't able to pull it out, falling in a close 0-2 battle. The loss set them into the loser's bracket and up against Sam Houston once again on Saturday.
With everything on the line, the Lady Techsters came into their game against Sam Houston with their eyes on the prize. Tech gave it their all and defeated the Bearcats in the traditional match to give them the lead. The Lady Techsters fought hard but fell in the Baker matches to tie the game at 1-1. Trying to earn their way into the finals, the Lady Techsters went back and forth with Sam Houston and found themselves down 3-2 in the best of four. Tech fell in game five to end the game 1-2 against the Bearcats.
