NEW CASTLE, Del. – Fourth-ranked Louisiana Tech finished in 10th place at the Northeast Classic at Bowlerama on Sunday.
 
Louisiana Tech opened bracket play in ninth and took on No. 10 Maryville. The Bulldogs and the Saints split the first six games, and it came down to a deciding game seven. Maryville would take the decisive game 231-213. The Bulldogs came away with games one, three, and five with scores of 246-183, 216-214, and 240-168, while Maryville took games two, four, and six with scores of 234-209, 203-179, and 244-233.
 
Tech took on No. 11 Sam Houston in the second round and didn't take long to move on. The Bulldogs took the first two games 221-208 and 204- 203. The Bearkats would take game three, 214-189, before the Bulldogs finished the match with wins in games four and five, 231-228 and 210 187.
 
LA Tech had a rematch with Maryville in the tournament's final round. After falling in the opening game 194-167, the Bulldogs looked to be in control after narrowly taking game two 233-232. Tech would follow that with a 232-220 win in game three and a 279-180 victory in game four to take a 3-1 advantage. The Saints would fight back and take the final three games, 207-194, 187-170, and 204-196, to take the match 4-3.
