Bulldogs to play final fall tournament this Friday and Saturday in Conway, Arkansas
RUSTON – The Louisiana Tech Tennis team will play its final fall tournament of the season this weekend, taking part in the UCA Invitational hosted by the University of Central Arkansas.

Times: 10:30 a.m. Friday, 9:30 a.m. Saturday

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH
LA Tech is coming off a strong showing at the ITA Southern Regional Championships, hosted by the University of Auburn in Auburn, Alabama. The Bulldogs totaled 13 victories – 10 singles, three doubles – over the course of three days of competition.
The highlights of the event were the doubles tandem of Ana Rodrigues and Zoie Epps winning two matches, including an 8-4 victory over Mississippi State, to become the first duo in program history to advance to the main draw Round of 16.
There was also Mario Tsironi who won in straight sets over Auburn and South Alabama to make it out of the qualifying draw. She then bested Mississippi State and another opponent from USA to became just the second Bulldog in school history to advance to the main draw Round of 16 in singles.
LA Tech has combined for 46 victories over its three fall tournaments. Epps leads the way with 14 combined wins in singles and doubles, owning a team-best 9-2 mark in singles. Tsironi has tallied 12 wins, followed by Rodrigues with 11.
ABOUT UCA INVITATIONAL
Friday's format will consist of one full round of doubles followed by two full rounds of singles. Saturday will be the reverse with teams playing two full rounds of doubles and then concluding the event with one more round of singles.
