ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (5-2)
LA Tech is riding a three-match winning streak, shutting out a trio of teams at home in Louisiana Christian, Southern Arkansas, and LSU-Alexandria.

Olga Bienzobas and
Alexia Romero continue to pace the team in singles, both riding four-match winning streaks. Bienzobas, playing at the No. 1 spot, is 6-1, while Romero is 5-1 at the No. 6 position. The Bulldogs are a combined 24-12 in dual singles matches this spring.

Tiffani Nash have each tallied four victories this spring. LA Tech is a combined 11-7 in dual doubles.

ABOUT RICE (1-4)
Rice enters the weekend with one win so far this spring, a 4-0 shutout victory versus UL-Lafayette. The remaining matches have been losses to Harvard and LSU as well as TCU and Northwestern at the ITA Kickoff Weekend.

The Owls, a former league opponent for the Bulldogs in CUSA, finished last season ranked No. 57 in the country. Federica Trevisan anchors the team in singles with a 4-1 mark in duals at the top spot.  Rice has gone 4-6 in doubles as a team with two of those wins coming from the duo of Divna Ratkovic and Darya Schwartzman.

This will the ninth meeting all-time between the Owls and Bulldogs. Rice has won every matchup in the series, including a 4-0 victory in the last meeting in 2018.

ABOUT HOUSTON (1-2)
After opening the spring with a 4-3 win over UL-Lafayette, the Cougars have suffered back-to-back 4-3 losses to North Texas and UT Rio Grande Valley.

The Cougars are a combined 8-10 in dual singles, paced by Sophie Schouten and Lauren Slisane who are a combined 5-1 while playing at the No. 3 and No. 1 spots, respectively. The team is 5-4 in dual doubles, led by Schouten and Sonya Kovalenko with a 2-1 mark.

This will mark the 11th meeting all-time between LA Tech and Houston. The Cougars have won all 10 meetings. The two programs were supposed to meet last season in Ruston but both attempts were rained out.
