RUSTON – Louisiana Tech makes the short trip to Natchitoches on Sunday to take on in-state rival Northwestern State at the Jack Fisher Tennis Complex.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (7-4)
LA Tech got back in the win column with a 6-0 victory at home against Grambling State, the fourth shutout of the spring season for the Bulldogs.
The team went 5-0 in singles, improving to 38-20 overall in duals. Olga Bienzobas collected her 10th singles win of the season while also extending her winning streak to eight matches from the top position.
Alexia Romero was right alongside Bienzobas in extending her winning streak to eight matches, improving to 9-1 this spring. Meanwhile, Tiffani Nash won her third straight to improve to 7-3.
LA Tech is 14-13 in dual doubles with three different lineups having at least four victories.
ABOUT NORTHWESTERN STATE (5-2)
After dropping its first two matches of the spring to TCU and Tulane, Northwestern State has reeled off five straight victories. All five of those wins have come at home as the Lady Demons have an eight-match home winning streak dating back to last season.
NSU is a combined 26-13 in dual singles, led by Ayu Ishibashi who is 6-1 while playing primarily at the No. 4 position. The Lady Techsters have been the most solid at the No. 6 position where they have gone a perfect 6-0.
In dual doubles, they are 10-10 with the duo of Maria Farina and Tjasa Klevisar owning a team-best 4-1 mark from court two.
THE SERIES
LA Tech trails in the all-time series versus NSU, 14-37. The Bulldogs have own six of the last 10 matchups, including a 4-0 shutout victory in Ruston last season. LA Tech has lost three straight to NSU in Natchitoches though with its last win coming in 2015.
