RUSTON – Louisiana Tech concludes its home stand on Saturday with a matchup against in-state rival Northwestern State at the LA Tech Tennis Complex.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (8-2)
LA Tech extended its winning streak to seven after defeating ULM, 6-1, this past Tuesday at home. The Bulldogs claimed the doubles point and won five of the six singles matches for their fourth straight victory over the Warhawks.
The 'Dogs, who are off to one of their best starts in program history, are a combined 35-17 in dual singles this spring. Sophomore Zoie Epps registered her team-leading ninth victory against ULM while freshman Alice Brook won her sixth straight match, improving to 7-2.
LA Tech has won the doubles point in all eight of its victories. The Bulldogs are a combined 19-8 in dual doubles. Epps and Ana Rodrigues have won five straight while the freshman pairing of Brook and Maria Tsironi have won a team-high seven matches.
ABOUT NORTHWESTERN STATE (0-4)
NSU is still looking for its first win of the spring season, having dropped all four matches to Chattanooga, Southern Miss, North Texas, and most recently a 4-2 loss to South Alabama. They won the doubles point versus the Jaguars but only managed one singles win at the No. 6 position.
The Lady Demons are a combined 5-17 in dual singles with Honoka Umeda leading the way with two victories at the top position. In dual doubles, NSU is a combined 5-7 with the duo of Pika Doberlet and Tjasa Klevisar providing two of those five victories.
THE SERIES
Saturday will be the 53rd all-time meeting between LA Tech and NSU on the courts, the most in Bulldog history. The Lady Demons own a 37-15 advantage in the series, but the Bulldogs three of the last four meetings including a 4-3 victory in Natchitoches last season.
