The Bulldogs host the Mean Green on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the LA Tech Tennis Complex
RUSTON – Louisiana Tech begins a four-match home stand on Saturday when the Bulldogs host the Mean Green of North Texas at the LA Tech Tennis Complex.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (6-2)
LA Tech extended its winning streak to five matches after sweep all three contests versus Austin Peay, SEMO, and Murray State in their trip to Paducah, Kentucky.
The Bulldogs were led in singles by Zoie Epps who improved to 8-0 this spring by winning all three of her matches in straight sets at the No. 2 position. As a result, she earned her two Conference USA Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week honor this season.
After dropping only one singles match in the three contests, LA Tech is now a combined 27-13 in dual singles. Behind Epps are two freshman – Alice Brook and Maria Tsironi – who each have five victories.
The Bulldogs won all three doubles points against the Governors, Redhawks, and Racers, improving to 6-0 this season when claiming the opening point. They are a combined 15-7 in dual doubles, led by Epps and Ana Rodrigues who were named CUSA Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week after going 3-0 at the top position. Epps/Rodrigues have won four straight and are 5-3 as is the freshman pairing of Brook and Tsironi.
ABOUT NORTH TEXAS (3-2)
North Texas has collected three wins this spring season over McNeese State, UT Tyler, and Omaha while dropping matches to Iowa State and most recently a 4-0 road loss to Houston.
The Mean Green, led by second-year head coach Amanda Stone, are a combined 19-8 in dual singles led by Stanislava Shulzhenko who is 4-0 while playing at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions. At the top spot is Texas A&M transfer Gianna Pielet who has been ranked as high as No. 79 in the country in her collegiate career.
Meanwhile in dual doubles, UNT is a combined 6-8 having played five different pairings. The duos of Lou Chalard/Marina Adati and Stadfany Nformi/Lilly Schultz each have a pair of wins.
THE SERIES
LA Tech trails in the all-time series versus North Texas, 14-2. The Bulldogs won two of the first three meetings back in the 80's but the Mean Green have claimed the last 13 matchups. Saturday will be the first time since 2001 that LA Tech hosts UNT.
