RUSTON – Following a four-match road swing, Louisiana Tech is home for three straight starting on Thursday, March 13 against 67th-ranked Wichita State.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (10-5)
LA Tech is coming off a very challenge road stretch, going 1-3 with a victory over Abilene Christian and losses to UNLV, Rice, and Tarleton State. The Bulldogs will look to bounce back at home where they are 5-0 this spring.
Zoie Epps went 2-0 this past weekend with straight-set wins over ACU and TSU, helping earn the sophomore her third CUSA Athlete of the Week honor. She improved to 13-2 in dual singles while the team is a combined 45-28. Ana Rodrigues has the longest current winning streak, having won five straight at the No. 1 position.
The two Bulldogs, Epps and Rodrigues, also earned CUSA Doubles Team of the Week for a second time following a 2-0 mark versus the Wildcats and Texans. The duo owns a team-best 9-5 mark, having won eight of their last 10, while the team is a combined 24-15.
ABOUT #67 WICHITA STATE (6-6)
Wichita State has been nationally ranked for four straight weeks, having climbed as high as No. 65 in the country. After dropping four of their first five matches, the Shockers have won five of their last seven including marquee wins over Kansas State, Kentucky, and Tulsa. Most recently, WSU suffered a narrow 4-3 loss to Memphis at home.
The Shockers are a combined 35-24 in dual singles, led by 123rd-ranked Xin Tong Wang who plays primarily at the top spot. Anne Knuettel owns the best record for Wichita State, going 8-1 at No. 5 and No. 6. In dual doubles, WSU is a combined 15-14. Their best doubles duo has been Theodora Chantava and Kristina Kudryavtseva who are 7-1 at the No. 2 spot, having won five straight.
THE SERIES
LA Tech and Wichita State have met four times on the courts, including each of the last two seasons, with the Shockers winning all four meetings. WSU was a 4-2 winner last season in Wichita. Thursday will be just the second all-time meeting in Ruston.
