Trexler Qualifies for USBC ISC

ADDISON, Ill. — For the second straight year, Kylee Trexler qualified for the United States Intercollegiate Singles Championship by finishing fourth at the Addison Sectional at Stardust Bowl on Friday night.

A week after being sidelined with a hand injury, Trexler shot even to open the six-game tournament. After moving lanes each game, the sophomore quickly found her mark with a 269 and 268 in games two and three, moving into second.

Continuing to secure her spot in Las Vegas, Trexler shot 224 and 203 to put her in first and 90 pins ahead of the cut. Her final game of 171 was enough to give her a 1,335.

Allyson Sand made a run at her second ISC appearance but came up 31 pins short. The senior found herself in the cut early after a 256 and 223 to start the day. Three straight games in the 190s would be the difference. Sand rolled a 194, 191, and 192 before closing out with a 223 for a 1,279 to finish 11th.

Four other Bulldogs finished in the top 50, with one more at 60th in the 215-person field. Arianna Araujo Rolled a 1,223 to finish 23rd. Abbie Leiendecker had a 1,220 for a 27th-place finish. Rachel Ong started slow but wound up with a 1,217 to finish 29th.

Jenna Stretch finished just under even at 1,194 to come in 42nd. Ashley Imhoff rolled a 1,172 to finish 60th.
