RUSTON – Louisiana Tech closes out the regular season on Sunday with a home doubleheader against UTEP and Grambling State at the LA Tech Tennis Complex.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (15-8, 4-0 CUSA)
LA Tech stayed undefeated against conference opponents after picking up a critical 4-2 victory over Liberty on Friday. The Bulldogs also made easy work of crosstown foe Grambling State, 6-0, to sweep the home doubleheader.
With the two victories, the 'Dogs reached 15 wins for the spring season which marks the fourth straight year the program has tallied 15+ wins.
LA Tech is now a combined 67-42 in dual singles after winning eight of the 10 completed singles matches on Friday versus the Lady Flames and Lady Tigers. Zoie Epps provided the clinching point in both matches, improving to 21-2. The sophomore has won 10 straight and is now just one win shy of tying the single-season program record.
The second-longest winning streak in singles belongs to Mio Kozaki who has reeled off four consecutive victories. The junior has won all four via straight sets, surrendering no more than three games in each of them.
The Bulldogs claimed the doubles point in both matches as well, improving to 37-21 in dual doubles as a team. The duo of Ana Rodrigues and Epps tallied wins No. 14 and No. 15 at the top position, having now won six straight. In doing so, Rodrigues reached 50 career dual doubles wins becoming just the third Bulldog in program history to hit the milestone.
ABOUT UTEP (9-7, 1-4 CUSA)
UTEP rides into Ruston on a three-match winning streak, having recorded shutout victories over Sam Houston, ULM, and Grambling State. The win over the Bearkats was the first league victory this season for the Miners.
They are a combined 36-25 in dual singles, anchored by Carlotta Mencaglia who has a team-best 8-2 mark while playing at the top position. Paloma Hennicaux also has eight wins while playing at both the No. 3 and No. 4 spots.
In dual doubles, the Miners are 20-17 having played nine different lineups this spring. The best duo has been that of DeCora Antoine and Wendy Zhang who are 5-1 together at the No. 3 position.
LA Tech owns a 4-3 series advantage against UTEP. The Miners won the first three meetings in the series, but the Bulldogs have claimed the last four including 4-0 victories in each of the last two seasons.
ABOUT GRAMBLING STATE (2-14)
For the second time in three days, Grambling State will take on LA Tech. The Lady Tigers suffered a 6-0 loss to the Bulldogs. They also took on UTEP that resulted in a 5-0 home defeat.
This will be the 57th time that the Bulldogs and Lady Tigers square off on the courts. LA Tech is undefeated versus GSU with a 56-0 record. The two programs have played ever year but three since 1991.
