Ashley Leonhart and Maeva Costenaro each marked new season highs for single-match shots against Stephen F. Austin on Thursday. Leonhart fired five with two on target while Costenaro took three attempts with one in frame.

It's been just over 16 years since the last time HCU and Tech took the pitch together, with the Bulldogs taking the last matchup, 2-1, in Ruston on September 27, 2009. Tech is 2-0 all-time against the Huskies with their other win occurring the season prior on October 5, 2008 in a 1-0 victory in Houston.

Previewing the Huskies
Houston Christian is led by second-year coach Nick Whiting, who previously had high success at the Division II level while at Lees-McRae from 2012 to 2014. During his tenure there, he accumulated a 29-23-4 record along with back-to-back regular-season titles in his first two seasons.

Since arriving to Houston prior to the 2024 season, Whiting is 9-13-5 after ending last year's campaign with a 5-9-5 season mark while going 3-4-3 in Southland play.

Isabella Dillow and Olivia Rossman combine for five of the team's 10 goals this year, with Dillow leading the team at three scores thus far. Rossman, along with Alexia Murillo, are the only two Huskies to have started in all eight matches this season.

Rossman also leads the team with three assists, seven total points, 15 shots and netted one of the team's four game-winners.

Houston Christian has utilized three keeper this season with Terra Rybuck recording the most minutes among the trio with 426. Rybuck has five of the eight starts allowing five goals with 15 saves on 49 shots faced, etching a 3-2 record with a pair of clean sheets.

Emmy McKeon leads HCU with 18 saves in three starts. She has allowed seven goals on 58 shots faced with 270 minutes in goal. She holds a 1-2 record this season.
