Series Info
Record: LA Tech leads 4-3-2
Last time: October 19, 2024 – L, 1-2 – El Paso

The Bulldogs closed out non-conference play in their previous match with a 2-0 loss at home to Houston Christian, extending to a seven-match losing streak as well as not having scored a goal during that stretch. LA Tech has seen 635 minutes of playing time since their last tally.

The longest stretch of minutes without a score in program history sits at 765 minutes that was set in 2004 followed by 638 minutes without scoring in 2005. The string of eight consecutive scoreless outcomes in Tech's inaugural season holds as the program's record for longest match streak without a goal with the streak of seven games in 2005 and the current season are tied for the second-longest streak.

The last time the Bulldogs and the Miners took the pitch, UTEP came out on top, 2-1, in El Paso in 2024, improving to 3-0-1 at home when facing LA Tech. Their previous clash at The Mack ended in a 2-2 draw in 2023 after Tech had won the previous four matchups played between the two sides in Ruston. The Bulldogs are 4-0-1 when taking on UTEP at home.

Previewing the Miners
UTEP enters Friday's contest holding a 3-5-1 record under third-year head coach Gibbs Keeton. Keeton has amassed a 10-24-9 record since taking over the reins of UTEP's women's soccer program.

Keeton saw his best season yet with the Miners last year after finishing with a 5-8-4 record. He led UTEP to a 4-3 record at home, securing the first winning record at home since the adjusted COVID 2020 season.

The Miners have seen five separate goal scorers in 2025 with Ana Quintero and Eve Barry leading the way as the only multi-scorers for UTEP. Quintero leads the team with three scores, 35 shots, 17 in frame and has netted one of UTEP's three game-winners. Barry has scored twice on just eight attempts with only four starts out of her nine appearances.

Eight different players for UTEP have posted an assist, including Mina Rodridguez, who is the only Miner with multiple assists this year at two. Savanah Finley has been the mainstay for UTEP in goal, allowing just nine scores on 96 shots faced with 28 saves recorded thus far.

Friday's match will be the last of UTEP's four-match road trip after suffering losses at Idaho and Arizona State while securing a 1-0 clean sheet victory at Boise State. The win over the Broncos is their only result on the road that has not been a loss or a draw; they ended a road match at UC Riverside in a 0-0 draw before falling to Cal State Fullerton, 1-2.
