NEW CASTLE, Del. – The No. 5 Louisiana Tech bowling team continued its strong start at the Northeast Classic on Saturday, picking up four wins on day two of the event. The Bulldogs are 9-1 through two days of plays.

Tech went 4-1 in traditional match play with wins over UAB (1,086-883), No. 22 Duquesne (1,059-942), No. 8 Niagara (952-902) and Long Island (952-878). The Bulldogs' lone loss came against Felician, 1,057-1,004.

Jenna Stretch led Tech, finishing sixth out of 229 with a total pinfall of 1,113 across five traditional matches. Stretch rolled a 246 against UAB and a 245 against Duquesne to start the day.

LA Tech will enter Sunday's bracket play as the No. 5 seed, ranking fifth among 36 teams with a total pinfall of 10,111 through 10 matches. The Bulldogs are one of four teams in the event with nine or more wins.
