RUSTON – Louisiana Tech softball continues its five-game road trip as the Bulldogs travel to Murfreesboro, Tenn., to face Middle Tennessee in a three-game Conference USA road series that is set begin on Thursday evening. All three games will be streamed on ESPN+.

Series History: LA Tech leads 16-12
The Bulldogs and Blue Raiders have met 28 times with LA Tech leading the all-time series 16-12. Tech has won three straight over MTSU after earning the sweep at home last season (7-2, 8-4, 4-3). LA Tech and MTSU have matched up against each other 23 times as CUSA members, with LA Tech holding a 15-8 mark.

The Bulldogs moved to 19-17 after falling 2-1 on the road to Northwestern State Tuesday night. LA Tech outhit NSU 5-3 in the loss.

Allie Furr all tallied one single each.
Allie Floyd and
Bryannah Campos combined to allow two runs on three hits in the loss. Floyd made the start and gave up two runs on three hits over four innings. Campos pitched two scoreless innings, not allowing a hit or run while striking out three. It marked her second consecutive relief outing of at least two innings without allowing a hit or a run.
Heng leads the team with 44 hits this season, followed by Furr (38), Gallaway (33) and
Aleah Brooks (32). Gallaway leads the team with 23 runs scored and ranks second in RBI (28) and home runs (7).
Reagan Marchant paces the Bulldogs with 29 RBI and nine home runs.
Floyd (8-10) surpassed 100 innings pitched this season Tuesday night and leads the team with 103.2 innings. She also leads the Bulldogs with eight wins and 82 strikeouts while carrying a team-best 2.63 ERA.
Laney Johnson ranks second on the team with five wins in the circle while Campos has four. Johnson has tossed 57.2 innings followed by Campos with 45.1 innings of action. Campos has registered 28 strikeouts while Johnson has fanned 22.
ABOUT MIDDLE TENNESSSEE
The Blue Raiders enter this weekend's series with a 13-19 overall record and a 3-9 mark in CUSA play. MTSU has lost six straight games, having been swept by WKU and Sam Houston over the past two weekends.
The Blue Raider have been outhit 237-191 this season and have been outscored 148-143. MTSU is batting .238 as a team while opposing teams are batting .283 against Blue Raider pitchers.
Sophomore Jana Want leads the team with 27 hits and is one of two players with a .300 average of better. Want is batting .300 while Macie Harter leads the team with a .307. Harter leads the team with 24 runs and ranks second with 23 hits.
Mady Pint (20) is the only Blue Raider with 20 or more RBI. Pint shares the team lead in home runs (5) with catcher Onnika Spencer.
The MTSU pitching staff carries a 4.23 ERA as Braelyn Hall (4-8) leads the team in wins, innings pitched (83.0), complete games (3) and strikeouts (64). Halle Klaiber (2-1) and Elle Hildreth (3-1) have both pitched 23.0 innings.
