Louisiana Tech qualified 14 athletes across nine events. Nine of the LA Tech athletes have previously qualified for the NCAA Regionals.

Kapambalala finished third at the CUSA Outdoor Championships in the 100m, running a personal best 10.21 in the final. He will compete at he 39
th seed in the preliminary round.

Murray qualified with a 10.23 time he ran in the CUSA Outdoor Championships, his personal best.
Â
Oghomi qualified with a 20.61 in the 200m during the Jim Mize Invitational, a personal best and meet record. The junior from League City, Texas has previously competed in the NCAA Regionals, running in the 100m in 2024.

Smith will compete in the 110m Hurdles after running a 13.50 in the Jim Mize Invitational. It is the 12
th fastest in the qualifying field. Smith won silver at the CUSA Outdoor Championships last week and qualified for the NCAA Regional last season, making it all the way to the championships round.

Cobe Johnson soared on his final attempt at the CUSA Outdoor Championships, leaping a personal best 7.85m for gold. It is the 13
th longest jump in the field and the second longest by a CUSA athlete heading into Lexington.

The 4x100m relay team will consist of Murray IV, Abdulraof Rashid, Kapambalala, Oghomi,
Madonna Favour and
Sabastian Bradley-Reed. Murray IV, Rashid, Kapambalala and Oghomi won gold at the CUSA Outdoor Championships with a 39.26 time, the 15
th fastest in the field.

The women's team will consist of six athletes across four events:

Ware qualified with a 23.20 200m at the Jim Mize Invitational. It marked her personal best, the fourth fastest time in outdoor program history and the new meet record. Ware won bronze at the CUSA Outdoor Championships in the event this past week.

Patterson has been one of the best 400m runners in the country, qualifying with a gold finish 51.43 time at the CUSA Outdoor Championships. Patterson set a new meet record, a new Louisiana Tech outdoor program record and a new personal best in Murfreesboro. It was the fourth time this season she has beaten the previous program record set in 2006.

Kaitlyn Washington makes her second appearance at the NCAA East Regional in the discus, throwing a qualifying 54.33m at the CUSA Outdoor Championships. It marked a new personal best and the fourth best throw in program history. Washington won silver at the event last week.

The 4x400m team will consist of Usenbor, Patterson, Charles, Wiley and Ware. Charles, Patterson, Wiley and Ware won gold at the CUSA Outdoor Championships with a 3:34.62 time and will be the 13
th seeded team in the event.

The meet will start with Smith running the 110m Hurdles at 5:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday, May 27
th and will conclude with the women's 4x400m relay at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 30
