RUSTON – Louisiana Tech bowling had five athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team, announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
Representing LA Tech includes
Arianna Araujo,
Frances Davila,
Rachel Ong,
Jenna Stretch and
Kylee Trexler.
Student athletes must have a 3.5 GPA or higher while making significant contributions in their specific sport to earn a spot on the list.
Araujo posted a 3.74 GPA while majoring in biology. Davila earned the recognition with a 3.69 GPA in biology, while Ong recorded a 3.97 GPA in aviation management. Trexler, an exercise and health promotion major, posted a 3.78 GPA, and Stretch earned a 3.94 GPA as an English major.
The group led LA Tech to a 79-36 record, including 44 ranked wins during the regular season, and a third-place finish at the Conference USA Championships. The group then helped the Bulldogs to a runner-up finish at the NCAA Regional Championships in Arlington, Texas, marking the sixth consecutive season that the Bulldogs have reached a regional.
Stretch was named a NCBCA First Team All-American for her perfomance on the lanes this season, while both her and Trexler earned NTCA Third Team All-American honors.
All five bowlers were named to the CUSA Commissioner's Honor Roll, while Stretch, Trexler, Ong and Araujo were also named CUSA Academic Medalists. In addition, Stretch was the lone Bulldog named to the CUSA All-Academic team.
This marks the second CSC Academic All-District honor for both Ong and Trexler after both made the team in 2025.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in five divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and the College Division.
