WEST POINT, Miss. - Despite two ranked teams and multiple ranked individuals the biggest opponent for any team at the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship ended up being Mother Nature as Monday's play was delayed due to rain and halted in the middle of the second round due to darkness at the Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point Monday evening.

The start of the tournament was delayed twice Monday morning by rainy conditions and then could not finish the second of three rounds as the sun set with teams anywhere between holes nine and 14. Play will resume at 8:30 a.m. CT Tuesday with the concluding round to follow.

Louisiana Tech was tied with Southern Miss at 17-over-par when play was halted Monday evening. Ole Miss led the team leaderboard at 7-under-par while No. 41 UAB followed at 4-under-par with No. 47 Florida sitting in third at 3-under-par.

Victor Lange and Mitchell Haddox were each tied for 37th on the individual leaderboard at 3-over-par. Lange, currently the highest-ranked individual in the field at No. 48, struggled Monday with a 1-over-par opening round and was at 2-over-par through 10 holes in the second round. Haddox struggled early with a 4-over-par round in the morning and was on hole 14 at 1-under-par when play was halted.

Ben Robinson enters the final day tied for 44th at 4-over-par. After leading the Bulldogs with a 1-under-par round in the morning, the junior was on hole 12 sitting at 5-over-par in the second round when darkness halted play.

John Lewis Sams is 76th with a 9-over-par score on hole 13 while Hayden Frederick is 83rd at 13-over-par on hole 12 when play was halted.
