Victor Lange Receives First Team All-Louisiana Honors

June 13, 2015

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The collegiate golf season may be over but Victor Lange keeps adding to his list of honors won. That includes Saturday's announcement of the 2015 All-Louisiana golf team where Lange received first team honors.

The list of honorees was announced Saturday following a vote of the university sports information directors from around the state. Lange was also the runner-up in the Louisiana Golfer of the Year voting.

The 2015 LWSA Men's Golf first team features Lange along with the LSU duo of Pierce and senior Stewart Jolly, ULM's Calum Hill, Southeastern Louisiana's Grady Brame and Bob MacIntyre.

A native of Johannesburg, South Africa, Lange carded a school record 71.39 season stroke average this season and tied a school and state collegiate record with his 62 round (10-under-par) at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate in October.

Lange finished the year tied for 22nd at the NCAA Lubbock Regional, carding an even-par 213 over the three-round event. He entered the regional tournament ranked 80th in the nation as an individual.

The all-state second team was highlighted by a trio of LSU players and two golfers from Southeastern Louisiana. The group includes Zack Wright, Eric Ricard and Ben Taylor, each from LSU, the Lions' duo James Anstiss and Lawrence Allan and McNeese State's Martin Eriksson.
