ARLINGTON, Texas – The second day of the Prairie View Invitational was a struggle on the lanes for the fourth-ranked Louisiana Tech bowling team. The Bulldogs finished 1-4 and dropped into sixth at the International Training and Research Center.

Tech opened with games that would give them a chance against No. 10 Maryville, but 10 opens would cost them in a 989-955 loss. Patricia Rosales led the way with a 208, while Abbie Leiendecker was the only other Bulldog in the plus at 205. Danielle Jedlicki and Allie Leiendecker were just under at 191 and 190, respectively. 

Scoring started picking up in the next two matches, beginning with a 1,074-778 win over Southern. Abbie Leiendecker, Jedlicki, and Rosales had identical 225 in the middle of the lineup for the Bulldogs. Allie Leiendecker anchored with an even 200, and Kylee Trexler led off with a 199.

Tech stayed in the plus against No. 3 Youngstown State, but the Penguins shot 1,114 to the Bulldogs 1,046. Rosales continued to be one of the top bowlers in the tournament, with a 244. Abbie Leiendecker had a five-bagger to help get her to 226, while her sister Allie Leiendecker rolled a 212. Trexler left five 7-pins in a row in the middle of a 192.

The Bulldogs finished with 10 opens in a 971-961 loss to No. 11 Sam Houston in the fourth match of the day. Jedlicki, Allie Leiendecker, and Rosales were able to pull out 200 games with 231, 208, and 200, respectively.

The final match of the day was a struggle for both Tech and No. 9 Stephen F. Austin. Neither team would reach 900, but the Ladyjacks would come away with an 898-881 win. Trexler's 214 was the only Bulldog score above 180.

Rosales sits in 13th with a 1,052 five-game total, with one more traditional game remaining tomorrow morning.
